Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Job Summary:
MXD Process is seeking a highly strategic and analytically driven Vice President of Sales and Marketing to shape our go-to-market strategies and build world class teams to accomplish it. This role will have as its primary task navigating a complex business landscape to drive significant growth in the industrial process equipment industry.
Objectives of this role:
- Develop and execute an overarching sales and marketing strategy that aligns with MXD Process' business objectives in conjunction with the CEO
- Spearhead business development initiatives and build profitable, long-term partnerships with engineering firms, OEMS, and manufacturing representatives.
- Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement sales and marketing KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with the Innovation department to ensure alignment between product offerings and market demand.
- Foster and manage key customer relationships, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage budget allocations across all sales and marketing channels, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Report on sales and marketing performance to the executive team and board of directors.
- Develop and manage sales teams across multiple sites, including our locations in Jeffersonville,IN, and Plain City, OH, ensuring alignment in sales strategies and activities.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales teams at each site, fostering a values first, performance-driven culture.
- Facilitate regular cross-site communication and collaboration to ensure the exchange of best practices and collective problem-solving.
- Directly oversee major sales operations in each location, stepping in to provide strategic guidance or close deals as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. An MBA would be a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the process equipment industry.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to coaching and development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in building, managing, and mentoring sales teams across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to drive cohesive sales strategies and operations in geographically dispersed teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers using a keyboard.
- Ability to walk through customer facilities.
- Ability to travel to and from customer sites.
